Miranda Holiday Park
Miranda Holiday Park is one hour from Auckland and is jammed packed with fun activities for kids.
So if you don’t know anything about who we are, please check out our about page
To be honest we live only 20 minutes down the road and didn’t know that this gem was at our doorstep. We ended up at the holiday park as our home was flooded. We will have a post up about that soon and also some top tips on how to survive a natural event as a family, so hit the subscribe button or join our mailing list so you don’t miss out!
Rooms
Because of our situation we had to change rooms as our booking was rather short notice. We only stayed in an apartment and studio but looked in all of the rooms during our stay. For a family of three the apartments were great. They had everything that we needed; bath, shower, kitchen, separate bedroom, washing machine etc. It gave us a fair bit of space. The studio is a smaller version of the apartment without a bath and laundry. The chalets seemed to be the same (we are moving to one tomorrow). They are available with one and two bedrooms. There are also bunk rooms, caravan and tent sites. For there there are shared facilities which include a lounge, kitchen, showers, and laundry ($3 for use of the machines).
Things to do
Now this is where it gets fun. There is so much to do!
Minigolf, trampolines, giant chess set, mineral hot pool, mountain bikes, trikes, four wheelers, half pipe, BMX track, farm walk, and frisbee golf.
I think the video gives you a good idea of what it’s like. Our verdict – this is an awesome place. If you are a family coming to New Zealand or if you just live down the road, think about coming here. Check out the link below to see more.

I’m so sorry to hear that your home was flooded. But I’m happy to hear that you were able to find some smiles in the situation. It looks like a great park!
Thanks Kevin. It really is a great park! And thanks for your thoughts!
This place sounds great! I keep finding little gems in my community and it’s always a nice surprise to find somewhere so fun and so close
It really was nice, and only a short trip down the road which we really needed at that time. Thank you again for finding the time to comment Natasha. We really appreciate it!
